BEHIND THE PEN

​

Illustration and fine art are my favorite areas of artistic expression. Both of them give the opportunity to tell a story, and express emotions that can be projected onto the viewer. As a very extroverted person, the way people effect each other has always been fascinating. So to see a person empathize with a work of art, to have a relationship with it; that is where my passion lies.

 

As a teacher, I have mentored students privately, and instructed K - 8th graders in six different school districs in Okanogan county reaching over 1,000 students. I have also worked at various arts festivals and partner with Richland's Allied Arts during their Summer Arts Program.

 

I love the energy young minds bring to the table, and enjoy teaching them a new way to positively express themselves. Art is an underused method of expanding critical and creative thinking skills, it boosts confidence and it helps to bring out the imagination and personality of any child! 

 

I would not be the sucessful and outgoing person I am today if it weren't for the ability and skills to creatively express myself!
